Breakfast Magic In A Snap
Skip breakfast often? In a rush? Want an easy healthy breakfast to grab+go? Umm...Yes, yes and YES!!
OVERNIGHT OATS ARE THE JAM

Your breakfast dreams have come true! I have been making this breakfast treat for years + I never get sick of it!
Overnight oats are the solution to all of your breakfast problems and excuses!
No time?...great overnight oats.
No money?...ok overnight oats.
Sick of the same ol' same ol'?... ooh la la, overnight oats!
On the go?...you guessed it, overnight oats.
There are 100 reasons why I love overnight oats, but I will spare you! Here are the top 5 reasons I love overnight oats and I know you will, too:

1. They can be prepared quickly + ahead of time. If you are someone who is pressed for time in the morning, prepare these oats on a Sunday (or whatever day you want) by combining all the dry ingredients. Store them in your fridge, add the milk the night before. (*Pro tip: start to save empty jars, I use empty Teddy's peanut butter jars). Prep 5-7 for the week.
2. The ingredients are relatively inexpensive. This will be an affordable and sustainable go-to for you (and your family), even if you're on a budget. (See the ingredients below).

3. You can get as fancy as you want! And you know I can get fancy with the best of 'em! The base of the meal is essentially, oatmeal + some type of liquid. The options for overnight oats are endless! Get crazy, add different combos of spices, fruit, chai seeds, nuts, yogurt, coffee, etc. Stay tuned for a more detailed break down on different varieties of overnight oats.
4. They are great to grab + go. This breakfast treat is pure MAGIC! Not only is the glass reusable and eco friendly, but it travels well, too! You can enjoy overnight oats warm or cold; making this great for those who travel or pack the jar for breakfast on the go!
5. They are not only tasty, but healthy + filling! With the recipe that I'm sharing here, there are no added sugars or artificial ingredients. If you are interested in macronutrients and calories see my entry in My Fitness Pal here.
Without further ado...
Chocolate Peanut Butter Overnight Oats

Ingredients:
1/2c Oat meal (I use Quick oats)
1/2 banana, smashed
1tbsp unsweetened cacao powder
2 tbsp PB2 ( if you sub real peanut butter, it will change the caloric make up)
1 tbsp Lily's dark chocolate chips (I find these at Whole foods, but you can also order them here)
1/2 cup almond milk ( you may use any type of milk)
Directions:
1. Cut a banana in half, peel and place in the jar. Use a fork smash until the banana is the consistency of a thick yogurt.
2. Add 1/2c oats and mix well, coating the oats in the banana
3. Add remaining dry ingredients, mix well
4. Add your milk (*Pro tip: aim to cover the oat mixture with the milk; it will be absorbed overnight).
5. Place cover on and shake the jar up , place in fridge overnight
If you are preparing multiple jars, do not add the milk until the night before you plan to eat them. Store them in your fridge.
Try it out! I can't wait to here what you think!
Go on girl,
XO, Kat
